To not judge a book by its cover has found its flip-side with these very pretty cover designs by Coralie Bickford-Smith, arguably UK's best book cover designer. She took inspiration from old ceramic pieces which were created during the same era as each of the cookbooks. Impressive. Oh, and these books are way prettier in real life with texture and gold stamp detail. Must have!
