Just as we all thought the demise of illustration was impending in this age of technology, I still beg not to sign off on it as dead art. Many may have lunged at the ease of computer aided designing for some time [at the expense of handmade art and illustrations] but I think we can all agree that a new breed of design is up in the air. Japanese illustrator , Sae Tachimori is one of the growing number of young designers who are taking illustration up a notch with their brave exploration on technique and style. We are seeing artists using their hands and brains again and I'd say its a very refreshing thing and quite exhilarating to foresee the emergence of this kind of conceptual illustration.
